ReleaSys™ HTX30-GR high temp release coating is Miller-Stephenson’s top-of-the-line high temperature coating, superior to both the ReleaSys HTX-A and ReleaSys HTX. This water-based coating utilizes our proprietary blend of highly lubricious ceramic particles and next-generation, ultra high temperature binder system to deliver unmatched release performance from room temperature up to 1000°C. This coat has been shown to provide numerous releases of molten aluminium and magnesium, glass, and highly abrasive plastic composites such as PEEK from a single application. ReleaSys™ HTX30-GR high temp release coating is our premier coating for customer seeking a durable, high temperature stable, highly lubricious coating for use in glass molding, molten metal molding, high temperature plastics, or numerous other niche applications. This coating binds tenaciously to metal surfaces forming an extremely abrasion resistant film that provides very low coefficient of friction. Our coating is extremely easy to apply with a brush, roller, or spray equipment drying in less than 40 minutes and curing within 24 hours at room temperature or less than 1.5 hrs if heated to > 95°C. For metal and refractory work it can be applied to crucibles, ladies, and troughs. The ReleaSys HTX30-GR non-wetting, the highly lubricious, chemical and temperature stable coating provides a unmatched barrier resulting in increased tool and system life in these applications. For molding of high temperature ceramics, composites, or plastics this high temp release coating provides excellent flow-out, perfect surface quality, and ease of release.
