Glass Mold Release | ReleaSys™ HTX
High Durability; Superior Release Ease; Optimized for High Temperature Castings
ReleaSys™ HTX Glass Mold Release is a ultra high performance ceramic coating designed to provide superior adhesion to mold surfaces, allowing numerous high temperature castings of glass, metals, and other substrates without the need for frequent mold re-coating. Our product forms a uniform, thin film on surfaces, binding tenacious to metallic and non-metallic surfaces. Our advanced chemistry provides both a low temperature and high temperature binder system allowing use on a broad spectrum of substrates and heating capabilities. This coating imparts a low coefficient of friction, high lubricity, and high adhesion ceramic film to surfaces. The cured coating offers exceptional release properties, even at 1000°C, and complete protection from aggressive environments. The inert and non-wetting nature of the boron nitride particles make it an excellent surface coating for molds used to produce castings of light metals such as magnesium and for coating surfaces in glass making operations. ReleaSys™ HTX glass mold release can inhibit corrosion and chemical attack in metal forming, glass-making and sintering processes, thereby increasing die life and improving product quality. Moreover because of the unique binder system very little transfer occurs, minimizing defects and increase longevity of the coating. Benefits of the coating include:
- High Temperature Stability up to 1000 °C in air
- Exception durability and surface adhesion
- High lubricity; Low coefficient of friction
- Ultra-Thin, Dry-Film Coating
- 100% water-based formulation
High-Performance Refractory Coatings – Glass Mold Release Sprays and Paints
ReleaSys™ HTX was designed from its inception to delivery superior release ease, lubricity, and durability for not only the glass molding enthusiast but also for any major manufacturing looking to increase throughput and minimize defects on there high temperature molding operation. Our cured coating provides exception surface properties such as low surface energy, low coefficient of friction, and high abrasion resistance – meaning you can run hotter, faster ,and for longer without having to stop production for reapplication. In highly aggressive environments ReleaSys™ HTX provides a resilient chemical barrier, protecting the high value mold surface from chemical attack or tarnishing.
