NADIC Methyl Anhydride (NMA) | Curing Agent
NADIC Methyl Anhydride (NMA) cured with epoxy resin will produce a high strength epoxy system. It has excellent chemical resistance to solvents and chemical attack. It is an excellent electrical insulator. These properties make this system ideally for the following applications:
- Industrial coatings
- High voltage insulators
- Encapsulation of electronic circuits
- Sealants, adhesive
- Laminates
- Fiberglass reinforced plastics
- Filament winding
- Aircraft applications
Accelerators, such as Benzyldimethylamine (BDMA), are used to initiate reaction and to reduce either the curing time or temperature, or both.
EPON™ & EPIKURE™ Epoxy Resins
EPON™ & EPIKURE™ epoxy resins and systems have excellent adhesion to a very broad range of substrates. Its low shrinkage exhibited by the systems during curing results in lower stress levels in the finished piece than found in other polymer systems with higher values of shrinkage. This contributes to strong, longer-lived fabricated items. These systems do not form products during the curing reactions. There are no volatile materials that can lead to voids. Epoxy resins provide excellent electrical insulating characteristics and excellent chemical resistance to a wide variety of corrosive media, especially resistant to caustic as well as acids and solvents.
