ShieldSys™ 1400 is a high-performance, thin-film industrial coating designed to exhibit superior adhesion and durability on all metallic surfaces.  The cured coating provides exceptional abrasion and mar resistance, high slip, and high temperature stability (>500° F).  ShieldSys™ 1400 adheres strongly to highly polished and plated surfaces providing enhance release and lubricity, while not affecting the desired surface finish. When applied to a substrate, it exhibits outstanding anti-stick properties and has a very low coefficient of friction. ShieldSys™ 1400 develops a long lasting thin-film that is non-oily and non-migrating. They are less sensitive to environmental factors, retain their value and have a much longer lifetime.

ShieldSys 1400 Silicone Industrial Coating Recommended Application Procedure:

1. The surface to be coated must be clean, dry and at room temperature.

2. Mix together a small amount of ShieldSys™ 1400A and ShieldSys™ 1400B in a 1:1 ratio.

3. Wipe or spray a very thin coat and wait 15 minutes. Apply a second coat in the same manner and wait 15 minutes.

4. Once fully dry, lightly buff the surface.

5. Heat coated item to 100°C for a minimum of 15 minutes to fully cure the coating before use.
