krytox143 Series Aerospace Oils

Krytox™ 143 Series

Krytox™ 143 series are the specialty designed base oils for all the aerospace greases listed below. These fluorinated synthetic oils are clear, colorless, non-reactive, nonflammable, safe in chemical and oxygen service, resulting in a high penetration, non-migrating and long-lasting lubrication.

Krytox 240AA

Krytox™ 240 Series

Krytox™ 240 series greases are compatible and non-reactive with a broad range of O-ring materials, allowing for extended service life and ease of assembly/disassembly of aerospace components. Enduring exposure to high-heat, severe cold, fuels, oxidizers and radiation without degradation. Deep space flight requires reliability and lifetime lubrication for critical components that must operate  in high vacuum and extreme temperatures of space.

Krytox™ 250 Series

Krytox™ 250 EP (Extreme Pressure) series are black greases that contain molybdenum disulfide as an extreme pressure additive for highly loaded aerospace gears and bearings. Delivering extreme performance under the high and low temperatures of space, Krytox 250 series is the lubricant of choice for the demanding harsh space environment.

Krytox™ 280 Series

Krytox™ 280 is a series of nonflammable, anti-corrosion greases that contain 1% sodium nitrite additive for rust protection at ambient temperatures, corrosion protection at high temperatures, and anti-wear protection. These greases are utilized to lubricate and protect moving parts susceptible to oxidation at extreme temperatures.

Chemours™ RA/IPA DryFilm Dispersion

Krytox™ 283 Series

Similar to the Krytox™ 280 series, but contains 5% sodium nitrite for anti-corrosion resistance, rust protection, anti-wear protection and corrosion protection at fluctuating temperatures.These greases are utilized to lubricate and protect moving parts susceptible to high oxidation at extreme temperatures.

Krytox NRT

Krytox™ NRT Series

Krytox™ NRT (nonreactive) grease is a special BAM rated, high-pressure oxygen lubricant with excellent longevity over a broad temperature range. This product has been formulated with special oils and thickeners for use in the high-pressure oxygen industry. Krytox™ NRT will not react with acids or bases and is compatible with most seal and O-ring materials.

Krytox™ FPG Series

Krytox™ FPG (Flight Program Grease) series has been specifically developed to operate over a wide temperature service range to be resistant to hydrocarbon fuel and liquid oxygen, and to be used as a lubricant aerospace vehicles, and supporting equipment. Krytox™ FPG has exceptional chemical and oxygen resistance and is designed to operate under severe conditions. Can be used for bearings, gears, and as a lubricant for O-rings and elastomers.

Specialty Solvents

Miller-Stephenson offers LOX certified and ultra-high purity specialty solvents designed for final rinse applications due its low NVR and exceptional material compatibility. The removal of residual particles and contaminants during final rinse is crucial as they may hinder, cause failure, or ignite. Vertrel™ and Miller-Stephenson specialty cleaning solvents are ideal replacements to nPB and TCE due to their safety profile, high solvency power (Kb values), fast evaporation/dry times, nonflammability and being oxygen compatible.

Vertrel™ MCA

Vertrel™ MCA is a specialty aerospace cleaning solvent that is designed to remove any trace amounts of oils, wax, grease and other surface particulates. This specialty fluid provides high solvency power and is widely utilized in critical cleaning and vapor degreasing applications. Vertrel MCA is LOX certified and listed by the ASTM and Compressed Gas Association in the directory of cleaning agents for oxygen service. Compatible with most plastics, metals and elastomers.

MS-752U | Ultra Pure Vertrel™ MCA

MS-752U is an ultra-pure variant of Vertrel™ MCA (< 1.0 PPM NVR certified) that provides high solvency power and is widely utilized in critical aerospace cleaning. Designed to entirely remove any trace amounts of particulates during the final rinse phase of critical parts. MS-752U is LOX certified, compatible with most plastics, metals, elastomers, and is approved by multiple major aerospace companies.

Release Systems/Dry Films

Many of Miller-Stephenson’s dry film/release systems utilize low molecular weight PTFE or proprietary siloxane-based chemistry to provide optimal lubricity, high release and predictable results. Applications include lubricating the seals of a space vehicle’s window and releasing high quality parts. Since 1955 our release agents/dry lubricants have performed with the highest efficiency under the most rigorous and technically challenging conditions, making them a perfect fit for the aerospace industry where proof of concept is imperative.

PTFE Mold Release Agent MS-122SE

MS-122 Series

MS-122 series utilizes proprietary fluoropolymer dry film/release systems that provides non-flammable, uniform, durable, ultra-thin film coatings while eliminating “slip-stick” and wear. MS-122AD and MS-122XD are utilized to lubricate window seals to serve as a friction barrier during expansion and compression that occurs with altitude fluctuation. Both are compatible with most rubber, plastics, urethanes, and elastomers.

Resin Systems

Krytox 143AC oil

EPON­™ 828

EPON™ Resin 828 is a widely used undiluted clear difunctional bisphenol A/epichlorohydrin derived liquid epoxy resin. When cross-linked or hardened with appropriate curing agents, excellent mechanical, adhesive, dielectric and chemical resistance properties are obtained. Because of this versatility, EPON Resin 828 has become a standard epoxy resin utilized in the aerospace industry.

EPIKURE™ 3200 Series

Miller-Stephensons EPIKURE™ Curing Agent 3223, 3234, and 3245 are unmodified aliphatic amines that are widely used in a variety of aerospace applications including epoxy curing agents. Due to their tendency to form complexes with atmospheric carbon dioxide, particularly in humid conditions, they are most often formulated, adducted or otherwise reacted to inhibit amine blush, bloom or sweat out.
