Problem:
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) was sourcing a multi-purpose performance grease that needed to be ISO 10993 biocompatible, can be applied for several O-ring sealing applications and serve as a galvanic barrier for stainless steel screws to prevent galvanic corrosion. TriboSys™ can greatly reduce overall maintenance costs associated with critical and non-critical medical applications by prolonging service cycles.
Solution:
Customers typically observe a significant decrease in component wear and significant increases in O-ring and other rubber component service lives. Testing results showed that TriboSys MS-3270MD grease was unmatched in performance results and is now a specified grease for all of NASA’S VITAL ventilator product line manufacturing.
