ReleaSys™ DF is a solvent-based, non-silicone mold release agent designed to provide reliable dry film release and lubrication to variety of metallic and non metallic molds . Miller-Stephenson’s exclusive surface activation technology allows for unmatched coating durability and maximal releases per application. Utilization of a proprietary fluoropolymer, this non-silicone mold release agent does not transfer and will not contribute to any cross contamination. ReleaSys™ DF is particularly effective for molding operations utilizing aggressive epoxy, composite or plastic materials. ReleaSys™ DF will not interfere with post-production finishing operation.

Applications for ReleaSys DF Non-Silicone Mold Release Agent
Miller-Stephenson has been developing non-silicone mold release agent for over 40 years. Our Fluoropolymer class of release agent yields a uniform, dry film on the mold surface while also offering superior surface adhesion and durability. Utilization of specialized PTFE polymers, ReleaSys DF typically can last numerous molding cycles before reapplication is necessary, and is ideal for compression and transfer molding operations. One drawback is its relatively poor performance in injection molding, which requires surface slip that dry films cannot achieve.
ReleaSys™ DF – Optimized Performance, Simple Application, Immediate Improvement in Molding Efficiency
ReleaSys™ DF performs well in releasing all commonly known molding resins, including, but not limited to; polyester, vinyl ester, DCPD, phenolic, epoxy and BMI. ReleaSys DF is easy to apply and forms an opaque/white, inert release film on the mold surface. The film also protects that mold surface from contamination and surface defects. ReleaSys DF non-silicone mold release agent forms a micro thin film on the mold surface such that, even with multiple touch up cycles, build up is minimal. The release film is extremely durable and will generate multiple releases, even when molding with the most chemically aggressive resin systems. The release film has very high heat tolerance, known to withstand temperatures in excess of 500°F. For easier application without the need for specialty equipment our ReleaSys™ DFX is our aerosol variant of this potent coating technology
