ReleaSys HTX-L Boron Nitride Aerosol : Highest Lubricity, Ideal for high temperature plastics, composites, and elastomers
Miller-Stephenson ReleaSys™ HTX-L and ReleaSys™ HTX-A are prime examples of this technology. Meticulously formulated, each of these boron nitride aerosol cans are designed to provide excellent high temperature coatings in the convenience and safety of a non-flammable aerosol spray can. The ReleaSys™ HTX-L is a lighter film builder, providing extremely high lubricity as a ultra-thin coating. Ideally suited for mold release of high temperature composites, plastics, and rubber/elastomers, the ReleaSys HTX-L excels in any mold configurations or geometry. The ReleaSys HTX-L dries and cures rapidly at room temperature (less than 1 minute), developing a dryfilm release coating with excellent surface adhesion to metallic and ceramic molds. In most instances, this coating can provide semi-permanent release characteristics with extended re-application intervals. Thanks to our next-generation binder system the coating not only has superior durability it also exhibits zero transfer to your mold part. Other niche applications can include: welding splatter protection, protection of surfaces like MAG/MIG welding nozzles, high temperature extrusion dies, and light glass molding.

The ReleaSys™ HTX-A s our flagship boron nitride aerosol release coating, designed specifically for rigorous high temperature applications which require a higher levels of release and barrier properties. ReleaSys HTX-A is Miller-Stephenson’s most advanced and refined boron nitride release agent available in an aerosol formulation. ReleaSys HTX-A is designed to provide universal release across a variety of applications and mold geometries. Applications include glass molding, aluminum extrusion / forming, metal foundry, etc. Utilizing our next generation binder and ceramic technology, Miller-Stephenson has developed a revolutionary coating that can withstand temperatures up to 1000 C without complex cure programs or applications. The ReleaSys HTX-A boron nitride aerosol develops a thicker and more robust coating than the ReleaSys HTX-L and sacrifices some lubricity for increase barrier properties and high temperature stability. ReleaSys HTX-A is our premier coating for today’s highly advanced glass, metal and composite molding operations.
